My name is Mike, and I have been playing golf for nearly 30 years. It is my number-one hobby. I am your typical Average Joe when it comes to my game. I usually play once or twice a week when the Wisconsin weather allows, and I have my share of good days and bad days. Part of my recent golf experience has been to play as many different courses I can, especially the more highly rated ones. Because of that, I have managed to play a lot of courses in the state of Wisconsin, so I figured why not create a Web site to share my thoughts on some of the courses I’ve played. So I created wisgolfreviews.com to share my thoughts and experiences with the general public, and hopefully provide some good information for people that were interested. The number of reviews is limited right now, but please look for more, especially over the coming summer months.

I live in Dane County, so the number of reviews will be larger the closer they are to Madison, but now that I have started this site, I will look to play more in areas I haven’t gotten to much. I hope you enjoy what I am sharing.

Ratings Methodology

The ratings I give courses are broken up into nine categories: Course Design/Layout, Course Condition, Practice Areas, Clubhouse, Carts, Staff, Value, Challenge and Fun. The categories are weighted, making design and condition more important than carts and staff. Then I take the average of the weighted ratings and come up with an overall rating. These are strictly my opinion based on my experiences, and I am sure plenty will disagree with how I rate their favorite course. I encourage you to leave your feedback or opinion on the course review page, or you can message me.
